Yankee's

I made this cake for the husband of a good friend for his birthday! She asked for an opinion on what to do, when I recommended a Yankee's cake (his favorite baseball team) she was a not too excited to have that in her house....see, she is a Boston Red Sox fan! Quite a rivalry in that house! I talked to her before she picked it up and told her how nice it turned out, her answer was, "I'm actually more excited to eat it than to look at it!" :) Her hubby liked it though!!!

Twilight Series

This cake was a special order from a very important person to me...my niece!! I had to travel 300+ miles to make it for her, but it was worth it to see her face when it was finished! Love ya girl!

For those of you who are not Twilight fans: The Twilight Series is a series of 4 books about Vampires. This cake has the items from each of the book covers on it. Book 1: the Apple Book 2: the Flower Book 3: the Torn Ribbon and Book 4: the Chess Pieces

* Side note*
I made this cake in September and as we all know Tulips are Spring flowers, we weren't able to find us a real or fake one, so I made this tulip! It is made out of fondant and gum paste, then "painted" to look like the tulip on the book cover!

I was hired by a very good friend of mine to make her Wedding cake! This was a fun cake to make and turned out beautiful! Thanks Krista and Tony for letting me be a part of your very special day! Congratulations you two!!!

Baby....

This cake was made for a baby shower, I was given a picture of the decor in the nursery and this is what we came up with! Congratulations to the mom to be and her new little bundle of joy!

Purse Envy

I made this cake for a friend whose husband ordered a "plain cake, regular size with 'happy birthday, Shannon'" on it. I DO NOT do plain old boring cakes......I do fun, make the birthday girls/boys day cakes!! So, I talked to the birthday girls sister, and this is what we decided she would LOVE! Guess what? She DID LOVE it!! So did I! What a fun cake!!!

I made this cake for a VERY special lady's 86th birthday, my Grandmother! She told me that she hasn't had a birthday cake in years, and to just have fun with it! So that's what I did! She has always loved her flowers, so we went with that, and added some flutterby's!!! =)

This one turned out so fun! My little neighbor turned six and his poor mother was having one of THOSE days, so I offered to help out with the decorating of the cake. He was excited for the cake, and I heard that it was a hit at the party!

This chocolate peanut butter ice cream cake was made for a HUGE Beatles fan. This 'Guy' =) LOVES the Beatles so when he requested an ice cream cake I couldn't help but add a little extra just for fun! (I guess I can do that when the customer happens to be my brother-in-law!)

Nana's Flowers

Blink Is Back!!

Remember the Nephew who loves Blink 182? Well, his little Brother is also a fan! Their birthdays are 6 months apart, it seems within that 6 months, blink 182 got back together as a band. So, the younger brother requested a Blink cake too! This is the bands NEW logo.
